ActiValet Help

ActiValet looks after your Microsoft 365 Inbox, so the mail that needs you is the mail you see.

What ActiValet does

  • Sorts incoming mail. Newsletters, receipts, routine notifications and sales pitches are filed into folders; mail that needs you stays in the Inbox.
  • Suggests before it acts. It shows you what it would file and why. Once your mailbox is live, it files automatically only mail covered by a rule, made by you or set up for your whole company, and gathers duplicate copies of an email into a Duplicates folder.
  • Writes reply drafts in your voice, if you turn that on. They wait in your Drafts folder for you to edit and send.
  • Sends you one short digest email each morning.
  • Finds newsletters you never read and, when you approve, unsubscribes you.

What ActiValet never does

  • It never sends mail from your mailbox. It has no permission to, and its code blocks every way of sending.
  • It never deletes your mail. The only things it removes are copies and drafts it made itself, when you click Undo.
  • It never moves mail from your VIPs out of the Inbox.
  • It never hides security or sign-in notices. They stay in the Inbox and appear in your digest.
  • It never files replies in conversations you've taken part in.
  • It never files mail it's unsure about. Anything below 80% confidence stays in the Inbox.
  • It never keeps the text of your messages. See Privacy and your data.

Everything ActiValet does to your mailbox is listed in the Action log, and each change can be undone there.
